If the music is too loud, you're too old.

Tons of focus

Crookers. Debut album ‘Tons of Friends. Where do you start? Their album is not an avergae album. It’s more of a massive collaboration compilation; each track worthy of it’s own release. They have called on some of the biggest vocals of the past two years; Kelis, Pitbull, Will.i.am, Spank Rock and more… to fill their explosive backdrops of rickety bass lines and synth filled build-ups. They also called up some new acts like Miike Snow and Carrie to provide some more relaxed tracks… all incredibly remixable (yes, I’m using this word) of course. ‘Jump Up’ featuring Major Lazer has been a favourite of mine for a while and thankfully made the cut. ‘Royal T’ featuring Roisin Murphy is the perfect mix of Crookers sound and her unique vocals and will no doubt be huge. It shines here. ‘Security’ with Kelis is also a notable brave step in the album and stood out to me on first listen.

This album will no doubt bring Crookers far further into the unidentifiable genre of club music. It’s brilliant.
