If the music is too loud, you're too old.

This is a story of boy meets girl.

…. but you should know upfront, this is not a love story. (500) Days of Summer is just that. A clever plotline, wonderfully thought out devices that aid the telling of this patched together story of fate, coincidence, confusion and frustration. It’s HOT soundtrack is one for any album shelf, featuring the likes of The Smiths, The Temper Trap & Regina Spektor. Jumping from washed out tones to over saturated backdrops, every aspect of cinematography of this film enhances the witty, dry humour and feeling of each moment, emotion and joke. Telling the story of Tom and Summer and their turbulent yet captivating relationship, this film let’s you think of all those things you forget, those things like fate is not fate but just a coincidence… or that maybe love is not real but just something you believe in, like Santa Claus. Joseph Gordon Lewitt shines from start to finish in this hipster’s dream rom-com. Despite being tragic in so many ways, you walk away feeling great, optimistic and will probably find yourself considering IKEA as the perfect location for your next date.
